Culture in The City

luxury travel blog

I love city breaks they are such a great way to pack lots into a short period of time and this autumn some of the finest in Europe look set to be spoilt for choice when it comes to the sheer volume of cultural events on offer, including masses of concerts and exhibitions planned that will keep even the most ardent culture vulture happy. So to give you a little food for thought I've compiled a smattering of suggestions for events to look out for over the next few months.

Rome: Paul Klee and Italy - the Swiss-German artist work is being exhibited at the Galleria Nationale d'Arte Moderna, with works made on and inspired by his journeys through Italy going on display from October 9 to January 27. Entry is €10/€8 or €6 and tickets can be bought on the door.

Paris: At the Centre Pompidou from November 21 to March 25 you can enter through an egg and exit through a brain at the Salvador Dali exhibit with entry from €13/10 it's a great way to get an insight into the life and passions of this great surrealist artist.

Barcelona: The singer songwriter Leonard Cohen packed out the Barcelona Stadium last year and now he is back on October 3 at the Palau Sant Jordi Passeig Olimpic with tickets only available through ticket agencies and costing anything from £96 to £233.
