One of the best places to view this phenomenon is in
Iceland and ITC Classics
have three escorted tours heading out in January, February and
March 2013.
It's a fascinating place that wowed so much when I visited
in April this year that I've championed it constantly since my
return. Which is why I was concerned to hear that the Icelandic
government is proposing to raise the value added tax (VAT) on
accommodation, restaurant meals and attractions from 7% to a whopping 25.5% as of
the 1st May 2013.
In my view that would be a devastating move, so with that
in mind and with the Northern Lights set to be particularly good
this year my advice is that there really has never been a better
time to go. And with Iceland so easy to get to,
with direct flights from Manchester and only a 2 hour flight what
are you waiting for? Put the light into your travel this winter!
