What I knew about The
Seychelles before my visit was it refers to itself as `a
thousand miles from anywhere'. What I didn't anticipate was an
experience a thousand miles beyond anything I'd previously
enjoyed.
As I flew from Mahé towards
Denis Private Island my anticipation grew and as I stepped out
of the plane I caught sight of the white sandy beach and clear
turquoise sea!
After checking into one of the beach bungalows with private
beach it was straight down to the beach to swim and snorkel. As I
snorkelled over the coral I saw a number of turtles along with a
variety of exotic fish. Watching the sunset whist sipping Champagne
provided the prefect end to the day.
Next stop
Beachcombers St Anne Resort located in the Marine National
park. The pool overlooks the beach and is a wonderful place to soak
up the winter sunshine.
St Anne has much to offer. We took a guided tour through
botanical gardens to a private beach for lunch, followed by a
Clarins Spa.
For me The
Seychelles was a perfect destination, and I would recommend
staying at two different islands to fully experience what these
stunning islands can offer.
